What is the difference between The G.A.G. and The Gruff Lab?
The G.A.G. (The Gruff Actor Gymnasium) is built specifically for actors executing high-stakes audition self-tapes with on-set readers. The Gruff Lab is our turnkey creator soundstage and full-service post-production suite designed for creators, brands, and filmmakers to batch high-output video content, record vertical reels, and access dedicated color grading, audio restoration, and editorial finishing.
What is the studio cancellation and rescheduling policy?
You may reschedule or cancel your studio session directly through your confirmation link up to 24 hours before your start time for full studio credit or a refund upon request to crew@gruffstudios.com. Bookings cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice are strictly non-refundable, as studio stage time, cinema cameras, lighting grids, and engineering desks are locked in advance.
Where is the studio located, and can I bring outside crew or guests?
Gruff Studios is located at 6565 Sunset Blvd, Suite 410, Los Angeles, CA 90028, and your booking includes 1 free validated parking space inside our on-site building garage off Sunset Blvd. To maintain a focused, professional production environment, outside guests, unapproved crew, and observers are strictly prohibited on set without prior written clearance.
Can I send outside footage for post-production, and what is the turnaround?
Yes! Our standalone post-production services (Polish Passes and Masterpieces) are open for external footage shot outside Gruff Studios. Our standard post-production turnaround for full editorial cuts, filmic color grading, and broadcast audio mix is 5 to 7 business days from the moment clean assets and media transfer links are received.
How long are my project files and master exports hosted?
Final master exports and studio selects remain actively hosted via private delivery links for 30 calendar days post-delivery. Post-production project scratch files and local caches are held for 30 days before being purged. Clients are strictly responsible for downloading and backing up all master files locally within their delivery window.
What happens if I'm running late to my studio block?
Studio bookings start and end strictly at scheduled times to protect upcoming production blocks. Late arrivals deduct directly from your available stage and recording time. Arriving more than 15 minutes late without prior notice will forfeit the booking and payment in full.
